TWO TIMES TWO - FOUR, i.e. EVERYTHING WHAT'S BEAUTIFUL AND NOBLEDirection: Małgorzata Szyszka Script: Małgorzata Szyszka, Jerzy Łazewski Cast: Jerzy Łazewski Singing: Aldona Jacórzyńska Scenography: Jerzy Łazewski Sound effects: Janusz Borysiak Cooperation: The F.M. Dostoevsky Literary-Memorial Museum in St. Petersburg 1st place on 32 OFTJA 2003 for J. Łazewski Scrip award t for M. Szyszka and J. Łazewski The performance is based on works "Notes from Underground" and "Because of Wet Snow" by F. Dostoevsky. This is characteristic of the Russian writer who analyzed human attitudes, individualism, hatred and cruelty, and attempts to reach the deepest areas of human personality. Dostoevsky convinces that experiments of creating social and ethic programs are absurd, because they are based on the rational reason, while the motive power for human actions is always an unpredictable caprice. The main protagonist is humble clerk who realizes that the world is being ruled by mathematical mechanisms, and due to his sensitivity begins to transform surrounding reality. We would like to cooperate with The F.M. Dostoevsky Literary-Memorial Museum in St. Petersburg mainly because we have a long national tradition in acting performances based on Russian literature. Dostoevsky is a symbol of bondage and freedom for Polish people. When we write about freedom we think about the inside and outside acting of human.
