Dostoevsky. This is characteristic of the Russian writer who analyzed human attitudes, individualism, hatred and cruelty, and attempts to reach the deepest areas of human personality. Dostoevsky convinces that experiments of creating social and ethic programs are absurd, because they are based on the rational reason, while the motive power for human actions is always an unpredictable caprice. The main protagonist is humble clerk who realizes that the world is being ruled by mathematical mechanisms, and due to his sensitivity begins to transform surrounding reality. An actor evaluating atmosphere looks for it in his private life.. Each landscape, each street, house, or room has for him its own atmosphere. He enters the library, hospital, or temple in a different way as well as he enters crowded restaurant, hotel or museum. As a sensitive device he feels surrounding atmosphere and "listens" to it as to the music.
